Hi I'm Grace, the "Vintage" in VintageFilmChannel. I love UA-cam and the opportunity it presents to bring my entertainment to those who enjoy it.
All of the programs on VintageFilmChannel are from Broadcast Videotape and film from my own library.
During almost 30 years in Production and Post-Production I have purchased and accumulated somewhere around 10,000 public domain titles. I publish only public domain titles, but, because they are Public Domain, others may also have versions.
Our titles all originate from Broadcast Quality sources, including: Type C one inch, Betacam SP and Digibeta, even 3/4 inch Umatic, as well as 16mm and 35mm film.
I am obsessed with quality, and I have developed a workflow for the material that gives great results. So the quality is as-good-as and in-most-cases, much better than competing (already monetized) channels.
So Welcome to VintageFilmChannel! Glad to have you here!

City Detective is a half-hour syndicated crime drama starring Rod Cameron as Bart Grant, a tough 1950s New York City police lieutenant. I guess this was supposed to be a knock off of the Donna Reed Show.
The poor man's version of "Double Indemnity."
The mayor from Andy Griffith.
uh, Linkletter
Thank You very much for this effort in improving this vintage program!
James Coburn was one of the coolest, classiest actors around. Late in life, he was awarded a well-deserved Academy Award. Michael Pate quite frequently played Native Americans. He played Chief Vittorio in both the John Wayne film “Honda” and Ralph Taeger-starring series of the same title.
This movie isn’t smart.
Pat Boone deserved better than this. This was dreadful. I don't see where this could have gone for 26 episodes.
The bank robber had a pretty mean 😈 face😊.
The coppers say 5 years to life. No worries. He’ll get paroled under five years for good behavior. He almost killed a child. Oh. The kid. Is in love with guns.
John Doucette! I love seeing all the great character actors in these episodes!
Phillip Terry (the banker) was one of Joan Crawford’s husbands. Director George WaGGner (he spelled it that way) later directed The Green Hornet series.
The "People's Park" replacement (People's Park Complex) is going to be replaced again after 50 years.
I just love to polka d.w.
Popular old TV dhow d.w.
More episodes please? ☺👍💖
I liked it.
Interesting!
Was this abc?
Huh?
Love my Singapore ❤❤
I was good friends with Kirby Grant. We had Lunch together almost everyday. He was Ambassador for Florida Festival (a Shopping and Dining Attraction across from Sea World). I was the Magician at the Six Flags Stars Hall of Fame Wax Museum next door. He was a nice guy and a real Gentleman. My biggest regret was not taking him up on his offer to go flying with him.
What's with the white Sheriffs' cars with no markings except a decal in the rear quarter window? I realize that the original title of :Code 3" was "Red Lights and Siren" but a police car without passive markings is naked, and the whole point of emergency lights and siren is to make the vehicle visible. A plain white car is invisible.
I love the destination sign on that bus: Weiser. My mom was from Weiser, Idaho. I am 74 and grew up loving Sky King. I have the complete (albeit over-priced) set of the series. That said, the colorization on this is horrible: characters have flesh-tone faces and black and white hands, the color fluctuates wildly, etc. It’s distracting. Just leave it as we remember it: black & white.
It's a work in progress with the colorization. The last few I have done are much better. I hope you will have a look. It is much improved. Thanks for the comment, I am trying!
Great film…..thank you
This is a blast from the past. The chubby cop is actor and poet John Mitchum, Robert’s younger brother.
Strange how, much like Jack Webb's Adam-12 reason-for-being, shows like these were developed to show law enforcement in a good light. LASD was used around this time to forcably remove Chavez Ravine residents (eminent domain) from their homes to build Dodger Stadium.
dragnet was lapd propaganda. all large city and some small city pd's were corrupt such as ramparts in LA and river rats in miami. river rats inspired miami vice tv show
It was a tragedy that they tore apart a really great community to build Dodger Stadium, but the police don't make the laws or court orders.
The sign at the start is so funny. Soap with your bath is a whole nickle more! 😂
THANKS so much for uploading for us to enjoy! I have fond memories of watching this show when I was a kid!
She was only a jockeys daughter but all the horsemen knew her
Watching Patrice and Sean guest star with Errol was so precious
As a TV history buff, I've known of this series for years but have never seen a single episode or clip from it. I'll delve into these soon. I know it was short-lived. Many of these failed 60's sitcoms now seem too exaggerated in their premise or plot-execution, the characters too silly, often just plain too unrealistically stupid, overbearing laugh-tracks, etc. I'll give this one a shot, though, after knowing of its existence for years!
Looking back at this 1965 pilot, we can see how racist this is . Pat Boone is arrogant and smug, being pushy to the islanders. this is supposed to be in the Filipino islands,
Marion Lorne, the one redeeming quality.
All these shows with a widowed father, family affair, courtship of Eddies father, Bachelor father, Brady bunch, rifleman, and raising kids on their own. this was not a good pilot. Is he so dumb not to ask girl coach? .
There’s still a gasoline ration sticker on Ann’s rag top.
Hugh Beaumont is terrific😮
Interesting
for us 40s boomers character actor Percy Helton (Otis Crumpler) will always be a beloved character actor in so many, many of our first 10 cent movie films n 50s-60's tv movies/series....his voice was so recognizable.
Burlesque meets Vaudeville meets 20th century Post War II TV.
THANKS so much for uploading this bodacious "blast from the past"! I love watching unsold tv pilots. Lots of familiar faces in this one (Leon Askin, Michael Pate , Vitto Scotti, etc).
Really enjoyed this episode!! 👍👍😃💫
Great show! Reminds me a lot of my favorite 1950s tv series, "Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford"!! Really enjoyed watching this!👍✨️🩷✨️
Originally telecast on March 19, 1965. This was one of the final season episodes that wasn't included in syndicated/cable repeats.
Penny, no preflight..? ❤ gotta at least check the oil and fuel..😅 this was before the Cessna 310B..great show!! I watched these with my Dad back in the day..73 now..that show influenced me to learn to fly and by an airplane..1974 Piper Warrior was my first airplane, bought it at Danbury Airport in Danbury Connecticut..a great airplane..miss that Songbird!
Scott Paper Company sponsored "MY LITTLE MARGIE" on NBC from 1953 through 1955. They replaced it with 'FATHER KNOWS BEST" in the fall of 1955.
After this pilot was produced, Dick Powell was apparently dissatified with Don Taylor's approach to the role of "Richard Diamond". If anyone was a better judge of who should portray him, it was Powell himself, as he appeared as "RICHARD DIAMOND" on radio for four years (1949-'53). According to June Allyson {Mrs. Powell}, in her autobiography: "One day Richard showed me some film on David Janssen, who had been a child actor and then had graduated to minor adult roles. Richard said, *'That's the guy I'd like to have take over the Richard Diamond role that I used to do on radio.'* "I said, 'Richard, he isn't at all the right type'. "So then Richard knew he'd made the right choice. David Janssen did take over and he was brilliant in it."
Originally intended for NBC's 1966-'67 schedule, they passed on it because CBS had already bought Leonard Stern's "RUN BUDDY BUN" for the fall of 1966 (too similar in plot and execution). The network allowed this "busted" pilot to sit on the shelf until they "burned it off" on July 20, 1970.
From the producer of "FATHER KNOWS BEST" and "WINDOW ON MAIN STREET" (both featured scripts by Roswell Rogers, who also created the latter series)- and Pat Boone's "Cooga Mooga" production company- this was produced as a possible series for ABC's 1965-'66 schedule.
wonder what became of the incredibly gifted piano twins?
Harry Carey was a fine actor and made many non-westerns - however, he remains a popular cowboy star with films dating back as far as 1913 - John Wayne admired him greatly - seek out the story connected to the last scene in The Searchers
Loved this episode, I've never heard of Sally. Handsome Rick Jason was excellent, they all were.
